Who We Are

Chicago Water Treaters was founded by Brian R. Burgess, a Certified Water Technologist, CWT, and associate professor of Process and Recreation Water Treatment at Triton College.

Jim Burgess, Chem E, has joined on as a partner in 2025. He comes from a background of large manufacturing and management experience. Together, they combine the experience of hands-on water treatment knowledge with in depth experience in production manufacturing.

We want to modernize the industry for the better, and take advantage of AI technology, better service reporting, and advanced trend analysis.

Service Coverage Area

Chicago Water Treatment has three distinct coverage areas:

  1. Direct Coverage by Climate-Friendly Bicycle

  2. Direct Coverage by Energy Efficient Cars- Illinois

  3. Coverage by a Nationwide- Consulting

CWT has direct coverage over the entire Chicagoland area but in most Chicago the “Climate Pledge” area is serviced, when available, by a zero-carbon footprint bicycle. We aim to be part of your Net-Zero downstream contractor network. We also provide direct water treatment in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and surrounding states.
